Dear Friends and Sponsors,

As the 2025 wound down towards Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year, our thoughts turned to family, siblings, parents, children, grandchildren, get togethers, meals, presents, traveling and a yearning for those no longer with us. It’s a joyous but also bittersweet time of year for many.

Our Teach Feed Love team visited schools in November and December to deliver food, take pictures of the sponsored students, and find new students to replace those who have left to go back to Haiti, to another community or to a public school. We are sponsoring 18 schools for Haitian children living in the Dominican Republic, and also helping 3 ministries in Haiti. That is over 1,200 children!

What are the thoughts of these children? What would they want to tell you? Here are some of their thoughts, prayers, and expressions.

I like my school. I have friends here.

I don’t know if I will have dinner tonight.

  My favorite subject is math.

I wish my father would come home.

I like to go to church.

I’m afraid my parents will be picked up by the immigration truck.

I am learning many of the questions in the Bible Quiz book.

  I can read now.

I may have to drop out of school to go to work to support my family.

I hope I get a present for Christmas! Maybe a soccer ball, or a remote control car

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen my grandmother in Haiti.

When I grow up I want to be a doctor.

How long will we live in this little shack? I don’t know if I want a doll for Christmas or a teaset. I’ll be happy with anything!

I hope we have a party at school. I like parties.

How are you? How is your family? Thank you for sponsoring me.

I will do my best at school so you can be proud of me.

My heart breaks for these vulnerable children. Their native country is in chaos, their parents, if they are fortunate enough to live with both, struggle to put food on the table. Many live in deplorable conditions, tiny shacks, with one bathroom and wáter spigot for the whole community. But they are resilient! They have faith in God. They pray; God answers.

You are a big answer to their prayers. Without your faithful support, we could not sponsor the schools for these precious children. You help us pay the teachers, buy the food, give Christmas presents, provide health care and meet urgent needs. Thank you! Your tax-deductible offerings may be sent via check to Teach Feed Love sent to TMCI, PO BOX 1761, Columbia, SC 29202, or give online at our website here TeachFeedLove.org. May God bles you this holiday season! Thank you, gracias, merci.

The photos below are from the Rose of Sharon school. We took presents to all the children. Before they opened them, we blessed the teachers with a bonus and prayed for them. Here you see the children praying. They are precious.

Your missionaries,

 Debbie and Mitch Martinez
