Dear Friends and Sponsors,

Babies, buildings, Bibles, balls and balloons…. all part of this summer 2025.

We welcomed a new baby into our Haitian school family, little Ruth Shamah, whose mother teaches in the Moca school. Many thanks to a special sponsor who paid her medical bill. Haitian women can no longer get free treatment at the public hospital. They are also likely to get deported on the spot. But she is safe at home with her other two children and recovering.

We are helping Pastor Venel Joseph add a second story to his church in Ponton. Praise the Lord, we received $1300 toward that project. Thank you! Tomorrow we will be attending church there, and we will see what else needs to be done. The Kids Ablaze team from North Carolina ministered there one afternoon.

The kids loved the balloons, the Bible stories, the snacks and the games. It’s so special for a church to receive a team from America! The team ministered to our staff children at La Vega Christian School two mornings, then in the afternoon they went to the Soto church for VBS. Soccer balls, Bible stories, songs, dances and crafts made for fun afternoons. Wednesday the team visited Haitian churches in Rancho Viejo and Ponton. The leaders got to see their sponsored students at those schools. Thursday was Mitch’s birthday, so we made that our beach day and then chili at our house, with cake and ice cream. Friday the group worked hard painting all the benches and desks in the Rio Verde school, plus they painted the parsonage. We were especially glad to have Jason Brantley, a plumber on the team. He had lots of work everywhere we went!
