Dear Friends and Sponsors of Teach Feed Love,
We appreciate you so much! Thank you for your prayers, your support, your offerings, and most of all, your love. We are your hands, feet and heart in the Dominican Republic. This month we are visiting the schools to bring presents to the children and to talk about the greatest gift, our Savior Jesus Christ.
Two weeks ago, we visited Constanza with the Liberty Ministries team. At the school we found 73 children eagerly waiting for us. They were very happy with their gifts. After lunch we visited our newest school, founded this month. They are another 30 minutes up in the mountains, at over 5000 feet elevation. We had to walk up and over the last hill, carrying backpacks for the 29 children, school supplies for the 2 teachers, and 55 bags of groceries to share with the impoverished families who work sporadically in agriculture. We had a glorious service in 3 languages and lots of smiles. That village is called La Culata.
Another highlight of the Liberty Ministries team was going to Ranchito with 70 bags of groceries to give to all the families in the area around the church, both Dominican and Haitian. The pastor did an excellent job counting the households and helping us distribute the groceries. Then we had a chapel service in the school and gave the children treats. This Friday we go back to give them their presents with another sponsor.
Friday, we visited Cutupu, our largest school, with 135 students. The director asked for 45 backpacks for those who didn’t have one, and the rest of the students received toys. We have been having fun going to the stores and buying the gifts. Thank you for making it possible!
This week will be our busiest. We have 3 schools to visit today, and 11 total by the end of the week. So please keep us in your prayers. Velvet, John and Karla from Missions Beyond are here to help. They have bought and wrapped many gifts. Yesterday we went to their apartment to pack 200 bags of candy. They had already done 400! We have over 800 students in the 15 schools!
